Hi Ruby, it's your birthday next week!! Today I went to the shops to look for a nice gift for you and I found a lovely necklace with a ruby pendant. I have taken a photo of it so that if for some reason you don't get it you can at least see the intention.
The lady in the jewellers asked me how old you was and when it was your birthday. I showed her a photo of you that I keep in my wallet. She was very sad that you did not see your daddy like other children. I told her that I was sad too and that there was nothing I could do when people tell lies to a judge.
But don't worry, I will one day give you your presents instead of to your grandma in Gilberdyke. Your other grandma and Grandad in Derbyshire miss you both terribly as they always have and have asked me to send you their love.
I will write again to you on your birthday.
